Welcome to the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association (ECHA)! Established in 1991, the ECHA is currently enjoying its 18th successful campaign of ice hockey competition.

The ACHA rules manual requires each player to be a full-time undergraduate student taking a minimum of 24 credits within a year and maintaining a minimum grade point average. The league follows the NCAA rule book on the ice. The Eastern Collegiate Hockey Officials Association (ECHOA) is officiating ECHA games this season with supervisory officials in attendance at all league and playoff games. New rules instituting 4-on-4 overtime play and the awarding of a point for an overtime win were implemented this year.

The ECHA organizes the playoffs and awards trophies to the regular-season champion and the playoff champion. The announcement of ECHA All-Stars, the Coach of the Year, and the ECHA Tournament MVP as well as an All-Tournament Team will occur during the playoffs. The ECHA Cup will be presented to the 2005 ECHA playoff champion.
